Blake Sea Contested Waters Map

Below is the map for the contested waters of the Blake Sea. It is comprised of four Linden owned sims (labeled LL) and, at present, six privately held sims (labeled PS). To schedule events in these sims you must reserve the space on the Blake Sea Contested Waters Calendar.

Calendar Information

Below is the Blake Sea Contested Waters Calendar (BSCWC) which includes events which will take place in the four Linden Lab owned Contested Water sims (Blake Sea: Kendra, Thunderer, Cannonade, and Beaufort)and the privately owned sims: Blake Coast, Blake Shore, and Blake Cove, Roatan, ZATZAi and Artificial Ilse.

If you want to have access to POST to the Google calendar below, you will need to send an IM to either MarkTwain White or Nber Medici. Be sure to include a valid email address with your IM (it will not be published).

If you don't have a Goggle Account you will asked to create one. HERE is a YouTube video explaining how to set up a Google account

Once you have been authorized, you will receive an email giving you instructions on how to access the calendar. HERE is a YouTube video explaining how to use Google Calendar.

When reading an event on the calendar just ignore the link called "Map" next to the Where field. It is a Google map link to the RW. Unfotunately SL is not in Google Earth yes. Grin

Step by Step Procedure to Post to the Calendar

Before you can post to the BSCW Calendar and the SLSailing Calendar, you must be given permission.  Send an email to either MarkTwain White or to Nber Medici at the emails given below asking for permission to post events.  We must have an email address to give you permission.  Your email will not be published.

Please follow the instructions below carefully.  There is a different process depending on WHERE the sea battles will be held. 

FOR BATTLES THAT WILL BE HELD BOTH IN THE BLAKE SEA (Linden Lab Owned - LL) SIMS and IN THE BLAKE SIMS (PS):

1.  Open the SLSailing Calendar.  Determine if the day and time that you wish to use is available.
2. Click on the selected date and time in the SLSailing Calendar and enter the name of the event.
3. Enter the day and time of event.
4. Type one of two labels in the WHERE field:  LL or BOTH. LL means that you are reserving the four Blake Sea Sims labeled LL on the map. BOTH means that you are reserving both the LL and PS sims for a Fighting Sail or Ironclad battle.
5.  Ignore the map button on the Google Calendar page, it takes you to a map loosely based on the location of the poster in RL.
6.  Go to Blake Sea Contested Waters Calendar and follow the instructions below.

1. Open the Blake Sea Contested Waters Calendar and click on a date.
2. Enter name of event
2. Enter time of event
3. Type one of two labels in the WHERE field: PS or BOTH. PS means that you are reserving the private sims labeled PS on the map. BOTH means that you are reserving both the LL and PS sims for a Fighting Sail or Ironclad battle.
4. Ignore the map button on the Google Calendar page, it takes you to a map loosely based on the location of the poster in RL.
